Jake Weimer, 450 Supercross – Monster Energy Kawasaki|
Weimer won the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites West title after placing 2nd in 2009. For 2012 he’s in his second year with Monster Energy Kawasaki and has shown some great speed to put together a number of top fives and podiums as well. While he hasn’t pulled off his first main event win in the premier class yet, it is clear that he is getting closer to doing so. In Salt Lake City this past weekend he finished 3rd on the podium and sits fifth in points.

Kurt Caselli, Offroad Champion – FMF/KTM|
Caselli is a multi-time WORCS Champion, a five-time ISDE Top American and 2007 AMA Sportsman of the Year, just to name a few of his accomplishments. This year he’s racing the Pro AMA Racing Kenda National Hare & Hound Championship Series and the SCORE/Baja 500. He’s been unstoppable in 2012 and won all four Hare & Hound series races held so far. After a short break the series fires up again heads to Jericho, UT this weekend.

Blake Young, AMA Superbike, Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki/ Yoshimura|
Last year Blake finished 2nd in the AMA Superbike points winning seven rounds. 2012 marks the fourth year in the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike class and he’s making huge strides towards the #1 plate. At Road Atlanta in Race #1 he crashed out with only seven laps to go. They threw the red flag and Blake was forced to re-start in the back of the pack. Blake put together an inspiring ride to pass 15 riders including his rival Josh Hayes to take an incredible win.

Sammy Halbert, Dirt Track Racer – Sammy Halbert Racing|
Halbert turned Pro in 2004 and won the AMA Pro Sport Hot-Shoe National Championship. In 2006, he won the AMA Ricky Graham Rookie of the year award. In 2007 he rode for team Memphis Shades/Yamaha and won his first Grand National race in his home state at the Castle Rock, Washington TT. In 2008 he started his own racing team and finished 5th place in the GNC Twins Championship and in 2009 he won the overall Grand National Championship. For 2011 he finished first in the GNC Expert Singles class with three wins and third in the Expert Twins class with one win. His combined results put him in third overall in the AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance GNC Championship. This year at Daytona he finished 3rd and 5th to position him 4th in points so far.

The third round of the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Series will take place this coming weekend at Infineon Raceway. The track will be hosting the Great Clips West Coast Moto Jam and fans are certainly in for an entertaining weekend with tons of racing action and off-track excitement. The action starts this Thursday, May 3 with the Leo Vince Grape Crushers Run and continues with a Bike Show, a motorcycle Park and Sell, an interview with Matt Mladin, Sonoma Drifting and Supermoto demonstration.
