Geoff May, AMA Pro Superbike Racer – Erik Buell RacingGeoff May is back in the superbike class racing on the Buell 1125RR and scoring in the top ten twice in the last four races. May started the season fielding a privateer effort for himself in the Daytona Sportbike class and finished seventh in the Daytona 200. Tim Burleson, Chaplain – Motor Racing OutreachBurleson has been in the ministry since 1975, the last ten in motorsports chaplaincy. He began racing ministry as chaplain for a dirt track in South Carolina. In 2002, Motor Racing Outreach asked him to be chaplain for the WERA National Series. In 2007 he became chaplain for AMA Pro Racing and MRO’s coordinator of ministry to motorcycle series. He continues to work with WERA Nationals and AMA Pro. This season he is also working with AMA Grand National Championship, aka, as AMA Flat Track. Kyle Regal, Pro Motocross – Merge RacingKyle is in his second year as a professional motocross racer. He chose to go to the premier class (450cc) this year and it has paid off for him. At Texas, he turned everyone’s heads as he put down a moto every young rider dreams of. His finish was 6-2 for 3rd overall. As a young up and comer on a privateer bike he put himself on every team manager’s radar. Last weekend he chose to sit out due to not feeling well after practice. PJ Jacobsen, Daytona Sportbike and GNC Track Racer – Celtic Racing Orient Express SuzukiJacobsen started racing when he was three years old, since then its been an amazing journey. He has won over 30 national titles in the United States Dirttrack and Roadrace Series. He is the youngest American to compete in a Motogp race at Indy. In 2009 he did a full year in the Spanish Championship with team Aspar, ending the year with a podium finish. As of right now he is racing in the AMA Daytona Sportbike Series with Celtic Racing/Orient Express Suzuki. His best finish this season was at Elkhart Lake with two sixth place finishes. He also did his first GNC race on a Moroneys Harley Davidson 750, running in second till the last lap, finishing up in sixth. www.celticracing.com |
