Herrin is currently in 2nd place overall in the AMA Pro Superbike class with podium finishes in three of the four races. Although it is early in the season, he is showing that he is going to be a serious contender in the fight for the championship. 2012 was Herrin’s rookie season in the class SuperBike class and he finished in 4th overall with 10 podiums. The series is heading to Barber Motorsports Park for the Triumph Superbike Classic. Last year Josh picked up two podiums at Barber.

Rispoli is a two-time, back-to-back AMA Pro SuperSport West Champion winning the title in 2011 and 2012. The friendly South African had an outstanding finish at Highpoint, Round 4 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in Mt. Morris, PA. He finished fourth in both motos to secure third overall. That puts him seventh in points with eight rounds remaining. In 2012 he earned two podium finishes in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX West Region Championship series, and competed in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross 450cc Championship series for Monster Energy Kawasaki where he earned a moto win at Southwick.

Savatgy picked up a 12th overall this weekend at the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at the Built Ford Tough Tennessee National. Savatgy was the AMA Supercross Rookie of the Year this past season and is making his debut in the Outdoor Motocross Series.

Hayes was back in full force at Road America this past weekend taking back-to-back wins. His results catapulted him back up in the standings after a disappointing start to the season in Daytona. Hayes is currently 4th in points as the series heads to the Triumph Superbike Classic at Barber Motorsports Park June 21 – 23 in Alabama. He has three AMA Pro SuperBike Championships in a row starting with his 2010 Championship. In addition he won the AMA Formula Xtreme Championships in 2006 and 2007 and the AMA SuperStock Championship in 2003.

Even a hairline fracture in his left foot did not stop Ben Young from securing two great finishes at the AMA Pro Racing Subway SuperBike Doubleheader at Road America in Wisconsin. His finishes of 11th on Saturday and 10th on Sunday put him in 9th place overall in the series standings after three races. Despite weather conditions at Road America that were unseasonably cool and damp, Young was ready to get back to racing after the hiatus from the Daytona round back in March.

At the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Nationals Ryan made history by being the first Outdoor National Promoter to actually qualify and race a national himself. He’s now 38 years old and apparently still in great shape and very fast. He finished 35th overall and that’s very impressive for a guy that hasn’t been racing the circuit in a very long time. Huffman was a top amateur racer in the 1990’s and went on to become a factory rider.

Roczen opened the Outdoor season with two wins and the overall. A few weeks ago it was a weekend of firsts for the newly crowned 250SX West Champion. It was the first time KTM won a 250SX Title and the first time Roczen won the 250SX Championship, and he won the Davey Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout for the first time too. After a mishap in the closing rounds of the 250SX Series, the Championship came down to the final round and Roczen delivered a 2nd place finish which is what he needed to take the title.

Westby opened the 2013 season with a nasty crash during practice for the Daytona 200 that injured his spleen. His activity has been seriously restricted for the past 8 weeks but he was recently cleared to race in the upcoming Road America event May 31 through June 2. Westby was the runner up in the 2012 Daytona SportBike Championship and finished inside the top ten in 18 out of his 19 starts. His next best overall in the Daytona SportBike class was in 2010.

Wiles is currently 3rd overall in the AMA Pro GNC Flat Track results as he heads into the Springfield Mile event this weekend at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. It is early in the season but Wiles is 4th in the Expert Twins and 3rd in Expert Singles. He finished out 2012 in 6th overall in the combined results with his 10th in the Expert Twins and 3rd in Expert Singles. Henry turned expert in 2002 and currently holds 20 national wins along with two singles national championships.

Bowers is a three-time Arenacross Champion and his season couldn’t have gone much better. Even with a broken collarbone mid-season he managed to win a majority of the Arenacross races and pull off his third consecutive title. After the season was over he got a call from Mitch Payton to fill in on the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki squad where he won the final round in Las Vegas, Nevada. He’s still under contract with Babbitt’s and plans to return to Arenacross next season.

“Brownie” continues to amaze his fans, some of which have followed his career for more than two decades. In 1993 he retired from racing only to return and win the AMA 125 Pro Motocross Championship in 2001. He now races offroad full time and this past week at the opening round of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series in Las Vegas, he led every lap in his heat race and the main event. He is 41 years old.

At the final round of the Monster Energy Supercross series in Las Vegas this past Saturday, Jake pulled the holeshot in the heat and the main event and had some very solid rides. His outstanding ride in Vegas is sure to motivate him for the Outdoors season that starts on May 18. Jake is a former West Lites Champion (250SX).

He’s slated to race the entire Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships for the first time in his eight year pro career. He’ll race a KTM 450 SXF at seven rounds and a KTM 250 SX two stroke at the other five rounds for the Two Stroke Motocross- Sikk Shades Race team. Robby hopes to reintroduce himself to the industry and have a career year that opens some eyes to his great work ethic and amazing talent.

Jason DiSalvo, AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Racer – Castrol Triumph Latus Motors Racing
For 2013, DiSalvo continues his relationship with Latus Motors Racing and Triumph aboard the Castrol Triumph Daytona 675R. He will be racing and training with teammates Elena Myers and Kenny Riedmann. The team is based in Alabama. DiSalvo starts off the 2013 season in 28th place after some problems in the Daytona 200 race. In 2012 he finished 5th overall, scoring 12 top ten finishes and a win at Infineon Raceway. He won the 2011 Daytona 200 race, finishing 4th overall for the season in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike class. He also is the part-owner of the DiSalvo Speed Academy

Kurt Caselli, AMA National Hare & Hound Racer – Factory FMF/KTM
Factory FMF/KTM rider Kurt Caselli won the fourth round of the AMA National Hare & Hound Series held in the desert of Lucerne Valley to capture his second win of the 2013 season. Caselli got a great jump off the start line and was sitting in second position as the riders ended the bomb run. After taking the lead, Caselli never looked back and went on to take the overall win by five minutes over the second place finisher. Caselli has a number of championships to his credit; 2012, 2011 Hare & Hound Champion; 2011, 2010, 2007 WORCS Champion and 2007 AMA Sportsman of the Year.

Mike Gibbs, Owner/Founder AMA MAXC (Mid America Cross Country) National Championships
Gibbs founded the MAXC series back in 2010 and has grown it ever since. The AMA MAXC is regarded as a professional series designed to be challenging for the racers and family oriented. The ten-round series looks for challenging locations throughout the Midwest. Their next event is scheduled for May 11, 2013 at River Run in Bloomfield, Indiana. Current sponsors include Lucas Oil, Fly Racing, Maxxis, Yamaha, and Husqvarna.
